Welcome to AMSIG 2027

On behalf of the Organising Committee, we are delighted to welcome you back to

Melbourne for the AMSIG Annual Scientific Meeting 2027, to be held 1–2 May at Pullman East Melbourne.

This year’s theme, MSK Intervention: Head to Toe, celebrates the rapidly evolving role of image-guided intervention in contemporary musculoskeletal practice.

We are planning a comprehensive and highly practical program covering the full spectrum of musculoskeletal intervention. Our aim is to provide a valuable resource for both general and subspecialist musculoskeletal radiologists, as well as sports medicine, pain and other physicians with an interest in image-guided musculoskeletal care.

We are particularly delighted to welcome our keynote speaker, Dr Douglas Beall, from Oklahoma City, USA. Dr Beall is widely recognised as a world leader in musculoskeletal imaging, interventional radiology and minimally invasive spine intervention, with an extraordinary contribution to clinical practice, research and education in the field. We look forward to him sharing his extensive experience and insights with the AMSIG community throughout the meeting.

Across the program, our faculty will explore intervention throughout the spine, upper limb and lower limb, together with peripheral nerve and other emerging musculoskeletal procedures. The program will combine practical techniques, contemporary evidence, expert experience and discussion of how we approach these procedures in everyday clinical practice.

For those looking for additional hands-on experience, we will also offer pre- and post-meeting workshops in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and image-guided intervention. Of course, an AMSIG meeting is also about reconnecting with friends and colleagues. Our social program will include a Gala Dinner at Melbourne institution Chin Chin, in the heart of the CBD, providing what we hope will be another memorable AMSIG evening.

Our conference venue, Pullman East Melbourne, places us in the heart of Melbourne’s world-class sporting precinct and only minutes from the CBD.
